Main Ingredients: sulfamonomethoxine and trimethoprim.

Specifications: 100g: sulfamonomethoxine 10 g + trimethoprim 2 g.

Pharmacologic Action

This product is a sulfanilamide antibiotic. Sulfamonomethoxine inhibits the synthesis of dihydrofolate by competing dihydrofolate synthetase. By inhibiting dihydrofolate reductase, trimethoprim prevents dihydrofolate from being reduced to tetrahydrofolate. The combination of sulfamonomethoxine and trimethoprim can double block the metabolism of folate and produce a synergistic antibacterial effect. Sulfamonomethoxine can be well absorbed when taken orally, and has a high concentration in blood and a low acetylation rate. Acetylates have a a high solubility in urine, which will not result in crystalluria easily.

Efficacy and Use:

This product is used for respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract infection caused by sensitive bacteria and in the treatment of coccidiosis, porcine toxoplasmosis, chicken leukoplasmosis and so on. It’s also used in the treatment of calf bacterial enteritis and coccidiosis, lamb dysentery caused by sheep clostridium , sheep enterotoxemia and ovine braxy.

Usage and Dosage

Calculated based on this product. Mixed feed: mix 2 ~ 2.5kg in every 1000kg of feed for livestock and poultry.

Withdrawal Period Chicken: 28 days, prohibited in laying hens during the laying period.
